Came here for our anniversary dinner:)


Took a lift from the 4th floor at ion.
Was brought up by the concierge lady.
Only one button to press

And their recommended cocktails
The waitress even showed us the different cuts of meats

After lots of thoughts and indecisiveness, we placed our order!
And were started off with them.
Their homemade bread with their own blend of spices as a dip
There were two different types of bread; one plain white and one multi grain
Both were equally soft and chewy on the inside.
The spices provided did give a different kind of taste as compared to the regular balsamic vinegar complement.
Preferred the white bread though
Anyway, let's get back to the next, amuse bouche! 
This was a smoothie with celery and fruits.
It was really sweet so you had to take it one sip at a time.
But it did help to clear your palates so it's  a ✔️

To our starters, the special tapas of the day:-
The 68 degree cooked pork cheeks.

The pork is cooked so well that you could just pull it off with a fork and spoon, totally living up to its pulled pork name.
See how the texture is that being pulled and not nicely cut out.
Noms.
Goes really well with the sweet pineapples to tone down the saltiness of the pork.
With its crisp outer layer and soft chewy inner meat.
Salivating already.


Next comes our mains


There were capsicums, baby corns, pancakes and of course, the steak done medium.


After re-organising the different parts of the dish, it's a clearer pic of what is present.

Kk's roasted pork belly with tofu and enoki mushroom 
Pork belly skin was really crispy though it took a little more effort to cut through it.
But the meat was succulently tender.
And wasn't too salty compared to those found in the hongkong roast shops.


Overall decor of the place was rather dim and suitable for those coming for a romantic evening or a relaxing gathering after work.
Our bill!
A pretty pricey one but for a special evening, still a good experience.
