Yellow submarine Sunday, January 12, 2014 @ January 12, 201410 jan 2013 - Friday Headed over to yellow submarine for lunch today!Kinda running out of ideas where to go to for lunch now. But it's just for 3 more weeks! Gosh! Time really passes so quickly! It's gonna be the end of my 4 months stint here. And to think at the very beginning, I thought it would be a struggle to get pass the few months Anyway, enough bantering. Here's our food!  There's a lunch special for weekdays from 12-3pm! For 3 subs! The classic sub - beef Ckn sub Mushroom sub! The classic sub and ckn sub meal's $6.90 during this period instead of the usual $9.90 so it's a pretty good deal! It comes with a coleslaw (instead of the usual cheesy fries) and a drink A pretty complete meal I'd say. Here's the starter! - coleslaw  I'm not a big fan of coleslaw or veg for that matter, growing probably but mostly it's a no no. Haha. But, I give a thumbs up to this! The veg's fresh! Cut to chunky size and there's the crunch when you sink your teeth into a spoonful of it! Imagine the "crunch" as you chew it! And it's cold so gives a cooling and refreshing aftertaste with the freshness of the veg. There's also a few raisins here and there but I think the sauce is sweet enough, can do without the raisins. Hahas Not a very sweet tooth too, with the exceptions of desserts and the sweet dumpling! Hee. Chicken sub!  It's nachos cheese! And my beef - classic sub!  It was not bad, and like the chicken, lots of nacho cheese drizzled over the beefy sub with large chunks of onions! Down side is there are a lot of the un-chewable tendons(?) of the beef. So it wasn't exactly very clean to finish it. After such a filling lunch and some shopping, headed back to work! What nuchare have me when I said I was feeling sleepy! It's sesame chocolate coated cookie!  So kept me a little more awake! And she gave me the chocolate coated potato chips too! Chocolate from Royce is good! And the combi with the potato chips was really unique! It's like bitter sweet when you first put it in your mouth, and then the crisp of the potato chips gets it broken as you chew on it. And the one last bit that kicks in is the salt of the chips. Kind of an acquired taste cause bittersweet and salt might not get everyone's approval.
