Songfa bak kut teh Tuesday, December 4, 2012 @ December 04, 2012Had bak kut teh at song fa! It's really prominent. Just opposite Central @ Clarke Quay The place had stools and tables like those during the Nanyang days At the coffee shops They have two shops, one at the corner and one near the overhead bridge. The one at the corner was open-aired and seemed really packed Since we were at the other shop and its air conditioned so stayed there. We each had a bowl of soup cause the waitress recommended one bowl per pax. We had -Prime ribs loin $8.50 -traditional ribs $6.50/$8.50 -Pig's kidney $6.50/$8.50 -Pig's stomach $6.50/$8.50 -Salted vegetables -Kai Lan -A pot of tea (various teas available but we got the pu 'er) $5 Soup was pepperish enough And refill's available! So drink to your heart's content!:) Love drinking soup! The ribs were tender but difficult to eat Didn't try the kidney but the soup looks bloody They'd prolly had the raw kidney in the bowl and added hot soup to it The stomach was not bad. But would be better if cut into smaller pieces The food was not bad But a little pricey for bak kut teh And the tea was quite expensive! Though it was rather quaint:) Labels: Bak kut teh, Clarke quay, song fa |
