Hill street char kway teow Friday, December 14, 2012 @ December 14, 2012Was looking through dr Leslie tay's iEat application! (Do download it!!) last night Wanted to go and eat in the west and found this char kway teow stall So went down today to try it! Btw, the stall number is different now after renovation, Hill Street Fried Kway Teow Blk 16 Bedok South Road #01-41 $3/4 per plate Came at ard 12pm looking for the stall. The hawker centre is beside the market The Kway teow wasn't burnt and was still moist. I guess this is why they said its the best around. Think there could be more of black sauce cause I like it sweet and more chilli:) for a more flavourful plate to suit my palette. The pork lard was also really good! Still nicely crisp on the outside and the lard burst when your teeth sinks into it. A decadent indulgence which is excellent once in a while but definitely not good in the long run. This stall definitely deserves the name as one of the best char Kway teow in Singapore! Labels: Char kway teow |
