Sunday, May 29, 2011 @ May 29, 2011 Chilli Padi Nonya Cafe Hi-Tea Buffet Look at our first round=D  The sour, sweet and spicy mee siam!Super shiok! But still like my mum's one better=) Though this is good too!  Gado Gado! But the peanut sauce wasn't very good. Was a little watery and could taste the faint charred smell of the peanut.  Prawn Cracker to go with Gado Gado Tea was really thick and fragrant. Super nice to drink. But made by zj. So 2nd time I drank didn't put enough milk=( Thus not so nice.  Didn't manage to try the coffee=( Said to be darn nice according to zj. Sigh. Shall go back again and try the coffee.   Lontong. Very creamy. Taste a bit like the laksa gravy.  Chwee Kueh and Yam Cake Chwee Kueh with chicken and mushroom.I like the chai por! Not very salty also=)  Yam Cake with sauce. Chilli! A little salty though.  Dessert! Kueh Da Da and Curry Puff Kueh Da Da was not bad but the filling was a bit dry. Curry puff was alright.  Another bowl of lontong.=)Love the veg.  2nd round!  The one with the fruits were alright only. Both were sweet but nothing special.  2nd bowl of mee siam=D  Look at the array of desserts!          High Tea is from 3pm to 5.30pm. @ $7.80++ Quite worth it. Plus they change their menu regularly. So you won't go for the same stuffs each time you go back=) Heard that they've mee rubus too! After buffet went to Brewbaker @ Anchorvale CC for drinks=D   Had the wheat one and the medium-bodied one.But the wheat one still can't be compared to the one at Red Dot. |
