BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard! Wednesday, October 3, 2018 @ October 03, 2018Was checking online for the best miles card to get as we are going to do some major spending and its a waste to just get the usual credit card points for our spending. Saw a write up on the BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard and was really interested as there's an on-going promotion of 1.5 miles per $1 local spending and 5 miles per $1 overseas spending (online spending with payment in foreign currency also considered!). Sounds like a really good deal and it ends 31 December 2018! Plus, from what I understand, there's no cap on the number of miles you get. Also, you do not need to pay the annual fees in order to get a card with better miles rate which is really great! How does it work? Basically, every $1 local spending gives you 4.5 BOC points. Of which, 3 BOC points translates to 1 mile. Hence, every $1 would give you 1.5 miles. However, there is a $30 translation charge to miles, so do accumulate your points before changing! How to apply? They do not actually have an online application. Do fill up this form and mail it out to get your card. Heard that the card takes around a month to come, so remember to apply in time before making your purchases!
