Kay Lee Roasts Thursday, October 9, 2014 @ October 09, 2014Kay Lee Roasts Heard of the famous $4 million char siew? Well, here's it! Address: 189 Paya Lebar Rd, Singapore 409033 The roasts there were really good! Melt in your mouth kind of textures. Had the three kinds of meat (Char Siew - must order, Roast pork and roast duck) The char siew, though very charred, was really good! (Minus the char of course!) It was really tender and sweet with the caramelised texture of the sugar bbq-ed. Similar to the Char restaurant over at Guillemard road. But only diff was that Char's one wasn't so dark. Guess this is the unique point of the char siew here. Roast pork! Absolutely delish! Totally dissolves in your mouth. And the skin, really crispy, coupled with the moist and melty meat cum fats. Ooohhhh. A must try! Roast duck wasn't as good as the former two. Would go back but not any time soon cause of the price tag. This meal set us back by $27 with 2 rice and 2 drinks. A pretty expensive meal for roasts at a coffee shop setting though its famous. Labels: char siew, Kay lee roasts, roast meat, sgfood |
