The Experience

So, we went to try out Gold Class @ GV Katong today!
Heard from my friend that its pretty good so I'm quite psyched about getting in.

Read 2 reviews online about it before heading there.
And I booked the tickets in advance!

Didn't know that people would be interested cause it's a thursday night and it just felt like not many would go.
But alas, I was wrong. lols. Had the seats 2nd row from the front and left center.
Thought it would be better to get centre seats from my experience in cathay.
I'll be writing up on that soon!

Anyways, photos!

The entrance of the theatre!

Oh! Did I mention that if you were to get tickets in advance, it'll have to be purchased at gold class concierges only.
They don't provide sales at the other theatres:(
This is the dining site.
But I still fancy the one over at cathay's
There's more privacy and it feels more exclusive!
Just realised it's not a clear pic but our tickets come in this envelope!
So, the thing is, you just gotta pass the email to the person at the concierge for them to scan the qr code, and they'll pass this to u!
A comparison between the gold class tix(left) and the normal gv tix(right)
The left one's gold-er than the other.
Hahahhah

Menu for food items to enjoy whilst watching your show!
Drinks section!
They seem reasonably priced

We eventually decided on a coke and the spiced fries

Okay, not an obvious photo but I did my best already!>.<
Drink on the left and fries on the right!
Got it during the movie so it was kinda distracting

But the fries were really good!
Crispy and spice-y

Didn't know that there was a 10% discount for gv members
So we missed out on that.
And there's a 10% service charge too!
Though I don't feel there's much of a service except the fact that they come to us to take our order and bring our food to us.
Our centre seats!
we were seated just next to the next couple
If you could notice, the seats are joined, though by a really wide hand rest.
The seats are the normal cushioned material kind and it's fully inclined!
We had to figure out where the buttons were though.

A pic of the seats at the side
Should have taken these!
Cause there's so much more privacy.

Doubt I'll go back though.
At $29 a ticket, I feel that I'd prefer the platinum suites at Cathay for the service and privacy.

And oh! Realised that I mentioned nothing about the movie I caught!
Watched Dawn of the planet of the apes.
Very interesting and meaningful movie!
Totally worth a watch!
Did not rmb watching the first part of the movie
But was quite touching seeing how similar they portrayed apes to humans.
And was so touching seeing the human touch in apes.
Nice movie!
