Jai Thai
Sunday, January 20, 2013 @ January 20, 2013

Had lunch with zj at Jai Thai !

Location:
11 Orchard Road
Dhoby X'Change
#B1-12 Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station.
Singapore 238826
Saw online reviews that it was quite reasonable.

The menu!
Zj's super small handwriting!
There was no drinks/desserts selection.
So had to write it ourselves.
Thai Iced Milk Tea - $2.50
The thai iced tea is really good!
Thick enough and sweet enough!

Our spread!

This is for two persons.
Hahas.
But all the portions are small.
And we managed to finish all of them!
It was just right.

We went there around 12pm.
The food came around 10 min later.
one by one.
It was pretty fast.

Phad Thai - $5
Phad thai was not bad.
But if you want chilli flakes, pls help yourselves to them at the cutlery counter.
The noodles were springy and well seasoned.

Fish cake - $2/pc

It's fish paste inside and is chewy!
Nice!
Esp with the thai sweet and sour sauce

Thai Green Curry with chicken or beef - $5
We had the Thai green curry with chicken.
There were many bits of chicken inside!
Good green curry!=)

Fried Kang Kong - $5
This is literally a fried kang kong.
No sambal at all though the chinese name implied sambal in it.

Olive Rice - $4
Olive rice was quite good.
With olives, hahas.
The meat was sweet and goes well with the rice
And the rice goes well with the green curry!
There's green mango strips on the top which is sour and appetising.
Fried Beef with Basil Leaves - $5

This has very small bits and pieces of beef.
Not something that I like cause the beef had a lot of inedible parts.
It's a bit spicy.

Our bill came up to ard $36.
Very reasonable!
For 6 dishes and 2 drinks.

Service was not bad, they attended to us when we came but the place was pretty empty with about 1,2 tables filled.
The waiter gave us our utensils after 2 of our dishes came.

Will definitely go back again cause it's located at such a convenient place & cheap!
At Dhoby Xchange.
Just next to JusAcia
