Birthday dinner! Tuesday, October 30, 2012 @ October 30, 2012Had dinner at takashimaya food hall with Jia hui Her treat for my birthday!☺ Pho hoa beef noodles ($9)
Had this beef noodles in Vietnam in sept recently.
Was a totally different taste
Though the one at taka is a brown soup, think they added brown sugar.
Taste was okay. Not very strong like our Chinese beef soup
The beef slices were really good though
And the beef tripe was chewy and done well
If you got craving for viet beef noodles can go for this! They also have the restaurants at holland village and suntec but its cheaper at taka! Hahas.
The one at Vietnam has clear soup with a really strong taste
Though the smell ain't tt strong, you'll be shocked at the flavour
Was really really great
I mean, it's the original, what else do we expect right?😝
Though at their shop there's a disclaimer that there is only one pho hoa and they have no other franchise.
Oh well, just my two cents worth
Phad Thai Was not bad but had better Noodles could be cooked more moistly cause its a little too dry. Was not bad la
 Anyway, to sum it up, great dinner with great company:D And we had tau huay after at rochor beancurd! THANKS JIA HUI!:D And the mini chocolate banana tart:D Chocolate was really good! Good old rich chocolate Didn't really like the banana part though:/ A bit too much. They should have prolly combined part of the chocolate with the banana instead of leaving the banana purée on its own. But a really nice gesture from her!:) Then went on to study at airport:D  |
