Movie's about this English guy who accidentally got in touch with a turks(ps: may be the wrong spelling), a person/thing who can travel across planets, and goes to planets to manifest on them. He accidentally killed one of them and got transported to Mars, a.k.a. Barsoom.

There he was seen as someone who can jump really high and has extraordinary strength and valued by the people there. The movie progresses to a battle of the emotions of john cater and then for him to the princess of Helium and then to Barsoom. Then comes the war and elimination of the invader of Helium and the other countries of Barsoom.

The story does not stop there and goes back to Earth, a.k.a. Jarsoom, the place where he had been transported to Barsoom from. He took the gold from the cave and build up his legacy which he later left to his nephew, Edgar.

The ending is something not really expected and a rather splendid one I would say. Definitely worth a watch but the 3D effects ain't anything special so just catch it in 2D!
